Officially Open by Pemangku Penolong Pengarah, MOE.


Cikgu Haji Zulkipli bin Haji Ladis, Pemangku Penolong Pengarah, Bahagian Pendidikan Rendah at Jabatan Sekolah-Sekolah, Ministry of Education was honoured to officially open the new building block at Sekolah Rendah Tungku on 16 May 2011. Other invited MOE officers, the Headmistress of SR Tungku; Cikgu Norliha binti Haji Matali, Assistant Headmistress I; Cikgu Saramah binti Mail and Assistant Headmistress II; Cikgu Samziah binti Haji Sabtu also accompanied to the site.

The memorable occasion started soon after the event of Hari Warisan organised by the KTM members was held in the hall on the same day. Mohammad Ridwan bin Roslan, a Year 6A pupil recited the azan and the ceremony of official opening the building followed up and the special guests toured around the place.

Cikgu Haji Zulkipli was honoured and welcomed by the Headmistress to plant a small tree as an appreciation from the school. Other invited guests were also honoured to plant more small trees at the new building yard as to remember and as to appreciate them.

All about Brunei in Hari Warisan; KTM


Sekolah Rendah Tungku recently on 16 May 2011 held a KTM activities with the focused theme of all about Brunei. Organised by the KTM members of the school led by Cikgu Noor Mohd Sah bin Haji Metassim, all teachers and pupils wore Brunei national attires the Baju Kurung, Baju Kebaya, Cara Melayu and respective ethnics traditional attires. The event took place in the school's hall.

Cikgu Haji Zulkipli bin Haji Ladis, Pemangku Penolong Pengarah, Bahagian Pendidikan Rendah at Jabatan Sekolah-Sekolah, Ministry of Education was the guest of honour for the event accompanied by some MOE officers. The schools Headmistress, Assisstant Headmistress I and II also attended the occasion.

The guest of honour was honoured to be handed over the new building's keys by a JPKE officer who was in-charge for the design and construction of the building, which then the keys were passed over to the Headmistress.

A Brunei's traditional wedding ceremony of Majlis Berbedak demonstrated by pupils of Year 6 was the peak event where the guest of honour and all MOE officers took a closer look and performed the 'membadaki' on the groom. The Ugama teachers and some of Year 6 pupils read the dzikir. The guest of honour and other invited guests went to the exhibition area of Brunei traditional food-making all done by the teachers and with some help from the pupils.

The pupils, on the other hand, had quizzes to answer relating to Brunei. So as the activities in the classrooms prepared by class teachers followed soon after the occasion in the hall ended.

Amused For The New Building

 
It was an exciting moment for the kids of Year 1, Year 2, Year 3 and Year 4 that today in the morning they had moved from their old classes of wooden block to new classes and new environment study in a new modern designed concrete building.

A total of 12 classes in the new building were fully occupied. All tables and chairs were moved to the new building with help of the Upper Primary pupils of Year 5 and Year 6, together with class teachers' desks and portable items.

Cikgu Haji Suhaili bin Haji Jaafar, an ex-Headmaster of SR Tungku, came to the school and officially launched the opening ceremony for using the new building. Recitation of prayers was read by Ustaz Amiruddin bin Haji Md Said witnessed by the current Headmistress, Cikgu Hajah Norliha binti Haji Matali, Assistant Headmistress I and II, Cikgu Saramah binti Mail and Cikgu Hajah Samziah binti Haji Sabtu.
