Science & Mathematics Adventure In Shahbandar

Acting Special Duties Officer at the Ministry of Education Hj Ramlee Abd Rahman yesterday officiated the 'Mathematics and Science Increasing Achievement Programme for Primary Schools Brunei III,' which was organised by the Committee of Primary School Brunei II leaders (JAPSER Brunei III).

Held at the Shahbandar Recreational Park, the day opened with a warm up exercise participated by the guest of honour, along with committee members, supervising teachers and participants.

In his speech, JAPSER Brunei III Chairman Ayerman Hj Kahan revealed that the programme is the result of joint coordination with the Science, Technology and Environment Cooperation (STEP) Centre.

The programme, which saw the participation of 66 students from n Brunei III primary schools, focused on participants' achievement in Science subjects.

This falls in line with the objectives of the STEP Centre to organise more Science, technology and environment education related activities.

Themed `Jejak Sains' (Science Trail), the event saw the designation of 11 stations where participants had to perform, within five minutes, activities according to their topic choices.

The programme served to increase students' interest in Science and Mathematics, while at the same time incorporating fun into the subjects.
